1 lb Italian sausage
2 to 3 Tablespoons dehydrated onion
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
61 ounces chicken broth
1/2 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
9 ounces tortellini (fresh, dehydrated pasta, or frozen)
3 cups baby spinach or frozen spinach
1 teaspoon salt
9 ounces tortellini (fresh, dehydrated pasta, or frozen)
2 cups whipping cream or half and half
INSTRUCTIONS:
Brown sausage in skillet. Add to large 6 to 8 quart pan. Add all ingredients except TORTELLINI and WHIPPING CREAM. Cook for 3 hours or more. Then increase heat to boiling and add tortellini, reduce boiling to mild boil, and cook according to time on packages instructions. Finish by adding 2 cups whipping cream. Stir and simmer about 10 minutes longer and serve.
