Beautiful flowers of the chrysanthemum in shades of brown, red, yellows and green using Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn. You can also come up with your own color scheme. Measures approximately 54 x 67 inches

MATERIALS: Worster weight yarn (medium weight yarn)
4 ounce skeins:
Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn
1 - #160 Brown
1 - #50 Cranberry
2 - #156 Sungold
2 - #330 Yellow
3 - #340 Buttercup
3 - #180 Forest Green

Size G crochet hook (or hook size to obtain gauge)
Blunt Needle

Each square measures approximately 13 inches.

Make 20 squares

With color Brown, ch 6; join with sl st to form ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, (counts as dc), work 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.

Round 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc in each dc. Join with sl st to first sc. Total of 24 sc's.

Round 3: Ch 5, ( counts as tr plus ch 1), (tr, ch 1) in each sc around. Join with sl st in 4th ch of ch 5. Fasten off this color.

Round 4: Join color Cranberry, ch 4 (counts as tr) and tr in any ch 1 sp, ch 1, (2 tr, ch 1) in each sp around. Join with sl st to top of ch 4.

Round 5: Ch 2, yo, insert hook from right to left under post of next tr, yo and draw up a loop around the post, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook, yo and draw through 2 loops (starting cluster made), ch 2; * yo, draw up a loop around next tr, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice; yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook (cluster made), ch 2, repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of first cluster. Fasten off this color.

Round 6: Join color Sungold in a ch 1 sp of Round 4, ch 4 (counts as tr), 2 tr in same sp (completely covering the ch 2 sp of previous round), ch 1, * completely covering the ch 2 sp of previous round, work 3 tr in next ch 1 sp of Round 4, ch 1, repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 4.

Round 7: Ch 2, work starting cluster as on Round 5, ch 2, * work from ( to ) of Round 5 three times instead of twice, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook, ch 2. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of first cluster. Fasten off this color.

Round 8: Using color Yellow, work as for Round 6 in the ch 1 sps of Round 6, completely covering the ch 2 between each cluster of previous round.

Round 9: Work as for Round 7, working ch 3 instead of ch 2 between clusters. Faster off this color.

Round 10: Join color Buttercup and ch 4 in any ch 1 sp of Round 8 as before, 3 tr in same sp, ch 2, * 4 tr in next ch 1 sp, ch 2. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 4.

Round 11: Work as for Round 9, working clusters of 4 sts with ch 3 between each cluster. Fasten off this color.

Round 12: Join color Green and ch 4 in a ch 2 sp of Round 10, (2 tr, ch 2, 3 tr) in same sp for corner, (ch 1, sc in top of next cluster, ch 1, 3 tr in next ch 2 sp) 5 times; ch 1, sc in top of next cluster, ch 1, (3 tr, ch 2 3 tr) in next ch 2 sp for corner. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 4 of first corner.

Round 13: Ch 2, work cluster around posts of next 2 tr, ch 1, 3 dc in corner ch 2 sp, ch 1, cluster around posts of next 3 tr, ch 1, sc in each st and each ch 1 sp along side of square, * (ch 1, cluster, ch 1) in first 3 tr of next corner, 3 dc in ch 2 corner sp, (ch 1, cluster, ch 1) in next 3 tr of corner, sc in each st and sp along side of square. Repeat from *. Join with sl st to top of first cluster. Fasten off this color.

FINISHING: With color Green, right sides facing together, over cast squares to from a rectangle of 4 squares wide and 5 squares deep.

EDGING: With color Green, sc in ch 1 sp before corner dc, sc in first dc, (sc, ch 1, sc) in center dc, sc in each of the next dc, ch 1, cluster, and ch 1, then sc in each st along side of afghan and around in this manner. With (sc, ch 1, sc) in each corner, work 5 more rows sc, then work 1 row reverse sc (working from left to right).

Weave in all ends and finish off.
