MATERIALS:
Size 30 crochet thread, 42 balls of white, ecru or color of your choice.
Size 10 steel crochet hook

FIRST MOTIF:
Starting a center, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st Round: Ch 3, 23 dc in ring. join to top of ch 3.

2nd Round: Ch 6, d in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, skip 2 dc, in next dc make dc, ch 3 and dc (corner sp). Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3. Join to 3rd ch of ch 6.

3rd Round: Ch 4, in next sp make 4 tr, ch 3 and 5 tr; * ch 2, skip 1 sp, in next dc make dc, ch 3 and dc; ch 2, in corner sp make 5 tr, ch 3 and 5 tr. Repeat from * around. Join last ch 2 to top of ch 4.

4th Round: Ch 5, holding back on hook the last loop of each d tr, make, d tr in next 4 tr, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); * ch 3, in next sp, make (5 d tr, ch 3) twice; 5 dtr cluster over next 5 tr, ch 3, skip 1 sp, in next sp make tr, ch 3 and tr; ch 3, make a cluster over next 5 tr. Repeat from * around. Join to tip of cluster.

5th Round: Sl st to next d tr, ch 5, 4 d tr cluster over next 4 dtr, * ch 3, in next sp make (5 d tr, ch 3) twice; make cluster over next 5 dtr, ch 3, skip 2 sps, cluster over next 5 d tr. Repeat from * around. Join.

6th Round: Sl st to next d tr, ch 5, complete a cluster, * ch 3, in next sp make (5 d tr, ch 3) twice; cluster over 5 d tr, ch 3, skip 2 sps, in each of next 3 sps make (tr ch 3) twice; skip 2 sps, cluster over 5 d tr. Repeat from * around. Join.

7th Round: Sl st to next d tr, ch 5, complete a cluster, * ch 3, 5 d tr in next sp, ch 3, cluster over next 5 d tr, ch 3, skip 2 sps, in each of next 5 sps make (tr, ch 3) twice; skip 2 sps, cluster over 5 d tr. Repeat from * around.

8th Round: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 9, cluster over 5 d tr, ch 5, sc in tip of same cluster, ch 9, sc in next cluster, ch 7, skip 1 sp, sc in next sp, ch 5, sc in next sp, (ch 3, sc in next sp) 6 times; ch 5, sc in next sp, ch 7, sc in next cluster. Repeat from * around. Join to first sc. Cut yarn finish off.

SECOND MOTIF:
Work as for FIRST MOTIF until 7 rounds have been completed.

8th Round: Sc in same place as sl st, ch 9, cluster over 5 d tr, ch 2, sl st in corner loop on First Motif, ch 2, sc in same cluster on Second, Motif, ch 4, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 4, sc in next cluster on Second, Motif, ch 3, sl st in next lop on First Motif, ch 3, skip 1 sp on Second Moif, sc in next sp, ch 2, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 2, sc in next sp on Second, Motif (ch 1, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 1, sc in next sp on Second Motif) 6 times; ch 2, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 2, sc in next sp on Second Motif, ch 3, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 3, sc in cluster on Second Motif, ch 4, sl st in next loop on First Motif, ch 4, cluster over 5 d tr on Second Motif, ch 2, sl st in corner loop on First Motif, ch 2, sc in tip of same cluster on Second Motif. Complete round as for First Motif (no more joinings).

Make 14 x 19 Motifs, joining as Second Motif was joined to First Motif (where 4 corners meet, join 3rd and 4th corners to joining of previous 2 corners).

EDGING:
1st Round: Attach thread to a free corner loop, sc in loop, * (ch 7, sc in next loop) twice; (ch 5, sc in next loop) 9 times; ch 7, sc in next loop, ch 7 sc in joining. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in corner loop. Complete other sides to correspond, ending with sc in last loop, ch 3, tr in frist sc.

2nd Round: Sc in loop just formed, ch 7, sc in same loop, ch 7, in next loop make sc, ch 7, sc; * ch 5, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around, making 3 ch 7 loops over the 2 loops at each corner and ending with ch 3, tr in the tr.

3rd Round: Sc in loop just formed, (ch 7, sc in next loop) 3 times; * ch 5, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around, making 3 ch 7 loops at each corner and ending as before.

4th Round: Sc in loop just formed, * ch 7, dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 2, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join to first sc.

Cut thread, finish off, weave in ends and block or Starch lightly and press.
