Learn how to slip stitch to make a loop and join. It is not necessary to make a practice piece for slip stitch (sl st) because it is used mainly for

SLIP STITCH TO JOIN:
1. Insert hook from the front through the two top threads of stitch (figure 25).
2. Yarn over and with one motion, draw through stitch on hook. (One loop remains on hook, figure 26).
